When a soul leaves a being, they enter the realm of the Nether. The souls were then formed into powder, making Soul Sand. When a spark of life, made by The Creator, falls upon this sand, it manifests into the Ghast: A being made from pure souls.
Pigmen spotted something sinister looking. It was like a cloud, but with eyes, crying. The creature let out a terrifying cry and struck fear in the Pigmen. When they approached it, it made a high pitch scream and began shooting fireballs.
People today just fear it and many think it is just a normal creature of this fiery world. But it is not. The Ghast was born from the echoes of lost souls. Inside it, is a chaos of fear, anger, confusion and darkness. The chaos within the Ghasts makes them hostile to whatever they see. When the Ghast is born, it is from the souls of dead beings, their final memories of sadness and darkness. When the Ghast sees another being, it begins to scream for help. The exhilarating feeling they get when they scream for help, explodes inside them in a form of a fireball. The Ghasts screams redirect it out of its mouth and fly towards the being the Ghast is targeting. The crying of a thousand souls echoes through the nether and the screams of tormented spirits strikes fear into whoever hears it. The Ghasts are truly a sinister monster, but they do not wish to be. The souls wish to be free. When the Ghasts are killed they let out a final tear; not of hate, anger or sadness, but of joy. The souls trapped within this creature has finally been freed, and the tears of the Ghasts are often said to be able to accomplish the biggest of things. Some men have found out that you can use this tear to make a potion that rejuvenate your body and soul, making you happy and joyful.
Even now, the Ghasts roam the nether, crying for help.
