Gigas Silva Empty
PostSubject: Gigas Silva   Gigas Silva I_icon_minitimeTue Nov 06, 2012 5:22 pm

Gigas Silva is a dimension of trees. Being made of trees, it has A LOT of trees and it has a vast majority of bugs -ew-, strange and unusual structures and The Mother Tree in the center. Here is a list of all the current features:

Mobs:

Passive:

Moths:"Moths are passive creatures who fly around peacefully around Gigas Silva. When attacked they fly away and are hard to catch. Drops Moth Wing"

Neutral:
Monkey People:"The Monkey People are a race of semi-intelligent (as bright as squidwards), neutral villagers who lives in Tree Huts in the trees. They will trade stuff with you like villagers, but only give fruits and stuff like that and accepts all kind of random stuff (monkeys love random stuff). Attacking them will, like zombie pigmen, get the whole tribe to attack you with simple, zombie-like attacks."

Hostile:
Ticks:"The Ticks are blood sucking forest crawlers who lives along the bottom of Gigas Silva. They are hostile and attacks you on sight, jumping about 3 blocks in the air every 3 seconds or so. When they attack they leave a poison-like effect and each time they attack they get bigger, which in turn increases the damage. When they have attacked 5 times, they split up into 2 small ticks which will then attack, turn bigger, split up and so on until all of them are dead"

Cheetahs:"Cheetahs are hostile mobs who lives around the ground level of Gigas Silva. They do basic attacks and are kinda like a fast zombie. When killed they drop Cheetah Fur"

Structures:

Abandon Towns:"Abandoned towns are the ruins of a semi-advanced civilization who lived there hundreds of years ago. Now they are infested with Ticks and Cheetahs, but also the the remains of treasures. The towns themselves are like slightly bigger and taller villages but in ruins (fire, broken houses and so on). There are chests located randomly but also Tick Spawners."

Catacombs:"Catacombs are the remains of the ancients civilizations forts and are located deep underground. When you go inside the catacombs you enter a maze of small corridors that are located in a square like shape, all being close to each other. The Catacombs are filled with treasure, but also enemies and danger. The middle room is extremely dangerous but also has loads of treasures. Beware"

Monkey Towns:"The Tree Huts are small, sphere-like huts located on the tall trees in Gigas Silva. They are relatively small, some bigger than others and the monkeys live there. Inside the huts there is only the basic stuff (stuff like table, chair, crafting bench and so on)

Mother tree:"The Mother Tree of Gigas Silva. The tree stretches from the bottom of Gigas Silva to the very top and is 50 blocks wide. On the top of the Mother Tree is an array of leaves and at the very peak 1 layer of leaves stretching all over Gigas Silva, functioning like a universal roof. The trunk, branches and leaves of the Mother Tree are indestructible, making it impossible to get inside it, break it or ever reaching over the top leaves and into the sunlight"

Terrain:

Tall-Thin Tree: "The Tall-Thin Tree is an extremely tall and 1-4 block thin tree with 1-2 layer leaves located alongside it. The Tree Huts are located on this tree"

Small-Wide Tree: "The Small-Wide tree is a pretty low (7 - 10 blocks tall) and extremely wide (5 - 15 blocks) tree. On the tree is located 1-2 layers of about 30 block wide leaves in all directions."

Gigas Tree: "The Gigas tree is a really tall, really wide tree. Wider than the Small-Wide (15 - 25 blocks), taller than the Tall-Thin tree, it is one of the biggest trees in Gigas Silva. The tree is hollow, allowing you to enter it by breaking the 1 - 3 first layers of the tree.
Ticks can spawn in the tree hollow."

Random Tree: "The Random tree is a normal tree except for it's random properties: It will have branches and leaves randomly placed on the trunk, wildly "flailing" around just looking random"

Bushes:"There are random bushes containing leaves of random size all around Gigas Silva together with the small random jungle trees"

Ores/Blocks:

Gems:"Gems are the ores of Gigas Silva and are mostly located underground. There are 3 different types of gems: Jasper (red), Malachite (green) and Sugilite (purple). They are used to craft the armor/tools of Gigas Silva but are also used for a pure version of themselves, as well as blocks of gems. They can also be found inside blocks of wood but can only be retrieved from the wood via a Purifier"

Gem Blocks:"Gem Blocks are like Diamond/Gold/Iron Blocks. They are used purely for decoration"

Cheetah Fur:"The Cheetah Fur can be placed down as a block, allowing it to be used as a one-time-use bed and also for decoration"

Items:

Moth Wings: "Moth Wings are dropped by moths and are used with Cheetah Fur to make Gliders"

Glider: "Gliders are made with Cheetah Fur and Moth Wings and you can equip it to gain slow falling."

Fruits: "There are 4 different fruits in Gigas Silva: The 3 main ones are Oranges, Bananas and Apples and each gives [whatever hunger apple does]. They are found by breaking leaves and are pretty common. Is also traded to you by Monkeys. The 4th one is the grape which heals 4 hearts but can only be acquired by trading with the monkeys"

Gems: "The 3 gems can all be used in the same recipe to create Gem Tools/Armor which is between diamond and iron in strength. They are also used individually to make Pure Gemstone"

Pure Gemstones: "Pure Gemstones are crafting using 4 of the respectable gem and [insert item we will find out later here]. Each gem (Jasper, Malachite and Sugilite) have an unique effect. They will last for 10 "charges"

Pure Jasper: "The Pure Jasper can be right clicked on to gain a fire shield that burns attacking enemies and can also be used as a flint and steel. Each use (whether it's flint and steel or fire shield) drains 1 charge."

Pure Malachite: "The Pure Malachite can be used as bonemeal and also to regain you hunger. Each use (whether it's bonemeal or hunger) drains 1 charge."

Pure Sugilite: "The Pure Sugilite can be used as a poison attack or regeneration on yourself. Each use (whether it's poison or regeneration) drains 1 charge."

BOSS:

THE MINI BOSS

"The mini-boss of Gigas Silva is the Corrupted Gorilla. Formerly a proud leader of the monkey tribe, he is now corrupted and evil. You use The Great banana to lure him down from the Mother Tree where he hails."

The Fight:
"The fight starts with the monkey sitting up in a tree throwing bananas at you which knocks you back and damages you. He will sit in the same tree for about 30 seconds until he jumps to another nearby tree and continues doing that. The player gotta climb up the tree to attack him. If there is no tree nearby, he will continuously sit in the same tree and attack. When he is on 66% hp, phase 2 will start

"At phase 2, The Gorilla will drop to the ground and begin attacking you with 2 different spells: A Smash attack where he deals massive damage and knocks you back (this spell can and should be avoided) and a roar in which he gives you 3 seconds nausea and 30 seconds slow (this is unavoidable). When he in on 33% hp phase 3 starts"

"At phase 3 he will become corrupted and unleash a corrupted roar, giving 1 minute light nausea and slow for the rest of the fight. His normal abilities are enhanced, his roar giving poison as well as his Smash attack"

"When the Gorilla is dead he will drop a key to his Lair, his cave: The Mother Tree"

THE BOSS

"When you use the Gorillas key, a door will open from the Mother Tree, leading inside it. It is hollow under about 5 layers of wood"

The fight: "The fight starts off with you trying to climb up the mother tree while corrupted monkeys (normal hostile monkeys with poison) attacks you. Killing them drops a paw, allowing you to climb up steer sides for about 5 blocks. Other than that you use the provided "stairs" to get up. When you have reached the top you smash the spore in the middle, which explodes throwing you down on the ground (you will not take damage from that) and the real boss fight starts"

"When you land on the ground, The Mother Tree is corrupted and you have to fight it: It will smash giant branches on you (should be avoided) that deals damage. It will also spew corrupted sap at you which deals poison damage over time (should be avoided as well). The last ability is the tree summoning a Living Corrupted Mushroom, which attacks you normally. When you kill it you gain a bouncy shroom which you use to jump up to the next "level" of the mother tree (there are several "canopies" or "levels" which you fight on". This continuous until you reach the top at level 5 (or 3, not decided yet) in which the last (very short) phase starts".

"During the last phase, the boss will summon 3 living mushrooms and give you a permanent poison debuff. In addition to that, the normal abilities apply. Your goal here is to reach the middle of the tree and damage the spore in the middle. When the spore is dead the fight ends, throwing you back on the ground while the mother tree is ridden of the corruption and drops a Divine Leaf"

"The Divine Leaf gives you a regeneration buff (half of what full hunger bar gives you) and acts as a weak light source
However, it only last for a short time.".

I would suggest roots from the Mother tree being how you find it. Indestructible, of course.
